I want this place to be in my hometown. The drinks were amazing and the food....I ordered the Northern Thai curry and my gf the Khao soil gai curry and we were very satisfied. Will come again.

Amazing food and experience. A friend had catered an event with Baan Siam and I knew I had to go to the restaurant to try out more dishes! The interior had a relaxing vibe, perfect for a romantic date or a fun dinner with friends. The servers were friendly and attentive but not overbearing. The food came out quickly and still hot. We each had the Tamarind Iced Tea - sweet, tart and refreshing on a hot summer evening. At the table, we shared the Chicken Tapioca Dumplings, Thai Vermicelli in Chili Peanut Sauce, "Khao soi" with chicken and the Seasonal Special: Crab Paste Fried Rice. For dessert, we had the Coconut Milk Griddle Snack. Each dish was delicious. Full of flavor and large portion. We were surprised by the crab fried rice because of the huge lump crab pieces, making it extra tasty. Price is fair for the quality and portion. Can't wait to go back and try everything else.

I met a friend here for dinner tonight and it was a good experience. They had some great seasonal specials and Thai classics. I got the seasonal crab fried rice. It was a bit spicier than I thought it would be but very yummy. I also got some Thai ice cream and I really loved the bowl it game in. It was made of rice flour and was tasty. The food also came out extremely quickly. Less than 10 minutes from when we ordered. Very impressive! The waitstaff was also very nice and checked on us a few times. We are outside so I can't say much for the decor but it seemed nice from the outside. I would definitely come back and eat here again.

Baan Siam seems to have become a DC staple. The food is good, the prices are reasonable, portion sizes are big, and it's a decent size restaurant that it's not impossible to get a reservation at. I would still make a reservation because this place gets busy and the restaurant is often full. Do pay attention to the number of chili peppers on the menu next to each item because the food can get quite spicy. I like spice, and anything with 1-3 chili peppers is delicious and not overwhelming to me. But the items with 4 peppers are very spicy.

I found the menu at Baan Siam to be more extensive and unique than other Thai restaurants that I've been to. Service was fast and friendly and the restaurant was well decorated. We ordered the following dishes and loved all of them: - crispy lotus root & grilled shrimp salad - loved this; the crispy lotus chips were unique and tasty - Northern Thai curry - sweeter than the usual curries with a solid kick (I was sweating by the end) - Tom Yum noodle soup - the broth was incredible - mango sticky rice - always a classic dessert, 10/10

Ive had this place on my yelp list for quite some time and we were looking for last min dinner options so this because our choice for pick up! I absolutely plan to return for a dine in experience so this is specifically for our meals we picked up. Our order was ready within 20-25 min and was readily available as soon as I walked through the door. The place was buzzing, looked like a full house. We ordered the Shrimp-Chili-Paste Fried Rice with Crispy Pork Belly, the Thai-Style Deep-Fried Chicken Wings, and the Egg noodles with crispy pork belly. We started off with the wings, they were fried pretty hard almost too hard but were still as delicious as we had expected. Both the fried rice and egg noodle dishes had a nice spicy bite to them and were bursting with flavor. The crispy pork belly in the egg noodles were much more tougher than we had liked but it did not significantly takeaway from our overall enjoyment of the dish. We absolutely would order from here again for pick up and we look forward to a having a dine in experience in the future.

We stopped by here on a day trip to D.C. This came up on an eater list. The restaurant was huge - unlike any Thai restaurants in NYC. The price was also very reasonable. It's kind of crazy how much more expensive dining is in NYC. The service was attentive. The food was delicious. It was a different style of Thai food so pad see ew, pad thai were not on the menu. We enjoyed the pork skewers. The golden fried pockets were good, but missing flavor. The Khao Soi was not the best I've had. The garlic rice with fried pork on top as well as the noodles with the fried pork on top were super tasty. Overall, great thai spot in D.C. Reasonably priced. Just not the best Thai I've had.
